See The Canyon Now

Many people have a hard time believing that right now, the cold winter months, are the best times to really SEE the Grand Canyon.
Ok, it is a bit chilly and the wind can get down right nippy. Yet, if you can tolerate that, The canyon rewards you with some absolutely majestic views you don’t get any other time of the year.
Winter time is when the air is crisp, and refreshingly clean. the winds have blown the dirt and smog away. The sun is lower in the sky so you see more of the variations of color in the rock strata.
And the best point is the lack of tourists. Not so many tourists brave the coild to make the trek to the canyon this time of year. And I think that is a shame.
Always check the weather forcast before you go as things can change fast there. Plus you may find that what is cold for one person, is seasonably wrm for another.

I’ve had enough. I can’t sit silent anymore. This insanity has got to stop. Its killing Las Vegas and its killing my business and probably yours as well!!
Las Vegas is suffering under this Anti-American administration. Our unemployment is hoovering above 13%. Throw in the under employed and those who have stopped looking, and you see the number jump to about 18%.
Obama has done everything he can to destroy tourism in this country. With the added help of Senator Harry Reid, he has almost ruined tourism in Las Vegas. As more jobs are lost and people are forced out of their homes, Obama globe trots and apologizes for the “sins” of this nation. When the nations he is apologize to would not exist today if it weren’t for this “evil” country.
So what is the wonderful Senator from Nevada, Harry S Reid doing while his boss is trotting around collecting awards for his teleprompter skills? He is helping with the socialization of the medical marketplace. What is his primary objective right now? Getting a bill passed that would allow illegal aliens to buy medical insurance from the Government Co-op.
My business is down almost 30% from last year. Tour companies and tourism related vendors are going broke. Good, hardworking legal residents of this state are losing their homes and livelihood. And all Harry Reid can worry about is making sure that illegals have affordable health care?
Never mind the fact that any of the plans they are about to vote on, would end up crippling our economy even more. Killing more small businesses. Leaving many more unemployed or under employed. The very sole of the economy, the one part that would create more jobs than anything else, would be killed off.
Drive down the strip or go downtown and notice all the small businesses. Heck, notice all the small businesses that have failed this year! Many tourism related businesses are small businesses. They employ(ed) thousands of people in this town. Those small businesses would never be able to handle the tax increases these new plans will require. Nor would we be able to handle the extra paperwork and support necessary to fulfill the needed government mandates.
And there has never been a government run program that has ever “saved” anything but some legislator’s job.
But hey, as long as the illegals have health care… I guess all is good with the world.
What part of Illegal are they not understanding?? Help the legal ones first. Than worry about those we need to deport. Save OUR jobs first. Let us keep our livelihood. If we can afford to work, maybe we can afford to buy health insurance!!
Just Say NO to any vote on health care reform right now and YES to real job creation! Then next year say YES to a Harry Reid retirement party!
