Grand Canyon Winter

Seriously, is there ever a bad time to visit the Grand Canyon?  Minus wildfire season, the Grand Canyon is just an amazing place to see no matter who you are or how many time you have been there.

Winter time is great because of the sun setting in the lower winter sky offers an excellent time to see the lighter shades of colors in the rock formations.  Plus you have the peace and quiet that comes with the crisp winter air.

Me?  I have lost track of the number of times I have taken groups to the South Rim, never getting tired of the beauty or watching others be amazed at just how majestic this canyon is.  Seeing its depth and history just seems to put their lives in some new perspective.

This tour, like others, I have had people who said “they have seen the pictures, they have seen the videos, its just a big hole in the ground!!”  These people are usually the first ones back to the coach proclaiming this to be the most magnificent thing they had ever laid eyes on! “Pictures don’t do it justice”  they claim!!

I tried telling them that before they got off the bus!

These particular pictures are from a recent tour I did with the folks from Your Man Tour’s annual Tournament of Roses Parade tour.  I was the step-on guide for several of their optionals.  The nice man next to me is the tour leader, Frank.

Thanks Frank, it was fun as usual.  Hope to see you next year.
